AURORA, Ill., --Christian Newswire -- On July 1, the City of Aurora quietly issued a Final Certificate of Occupancy to the 22,000-square-foot Planned Parenthood facility, which has been mired in controversy since July of last year. Unlike the now-expired Temporary Certificate of Occupancy under which the facility had been operating, the Final Certificate would grant permanent legal status to the facility. In response, yesterday, July 21, lawyers from the Thomas More Society of Chicago filed appeals to both the Aurora Building Code Board of Appeals and the Zoning Board of Appeals on behalf of Fox Valley Families Against Planned Parenthood and neighboring residents of the facility. The appellants claim that the City continues to refuse to apply the correct ordinance to Planned Parenthood, even after the City conceded that its outside attorneys applied the wrong ordinance to the facility during their legal review in September of last year. The facility has been marred by claims that Planned Parenthood's subsidiary, Gemini Office Development, falsified permit applications, obtained an invalid building permit, had invalid building inspections, and violated numerous Aurora laws. LITTLETON, Colo. – NPG Hosting, a local web hosting company, announced today the launch of their new web site hosting program to support military families separated by overseas deployment in Iraq, Afghanistan or other regions of the world. According to partner, Bill Woods, “The greatest challenge facing members of the United States Military during long deployments is maintaining communications with the family back home. Missing daily activities, children growing up, the smiles and hugs, and the quiet chats with loved ones is stressful.
As veterans, we remember what it was like being deployed far from family and friends and the importance of mail call. We remember writing letters, sending them off and the long wait for news from home. Our mission is to provide the means to allow our men and women serving our country to Keep In Touch.”

LOVELAND, Colo. -- In Our Midst Ministries announces the opening of A Safe Place Abortion Recovery Center, a staffed facility established specifically to meet the needs of those struggling with issues resulting from a past abortion experience.
Mary Comm, President and Founder of In Our Midst and A Safe Place explains, "As more people begin dealing with issues - such as drug and alcohol addiction, depression, divorce, workaholism, pornography addiction, eating disorders, the need to control, cutting, inability to bond with their children and patterns of broken or abusive relationships - we are seeing undeniable connections to past unresolved abortion experiences. Because of the prevalence of these problems in our society, a growing number of men and women are seeking help with these emotional, spiritual, relational and even physical repercussions, many of whom are unaware they have been attempting to self-medicate the internal pain (or self-punish) due to an abortion in their past. As a result we are realizing a greater need for more specialized options to offer them." Comments (1) | Add as favourites (92) | Quote this article on your site |

The State Senate's Business, Labor and Tecnology Committee has passed SB 82 which would end Colorado's ban on Sunday liquor store sales. The bill was approved on a 5 to 1 vote and now goes to the Senate Finance Committee. The vote followed a spirited public hearing in which many small liquor store owners argued against the bill.
